Thank you for your interest in speaking at DC Startup Week 2023! Please mark on your application the Track and Sub-Track your session would fit best in based on the descriptions below. Please note, these categorizations are subject to change based on the judgment of our Track Leads and DCSW Team when reviewing each application.

 
 

Early-Stage Founder Track

If you are a local entrepreneur planning to start a business or have recently started one, the founder track will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to turn your idea into a reality. This track will focus on early-stage strategies from marketing, branding, sales, mindset, market validation, founder stories, and more.


Growth Stage Track

This track is for growth-oriented founders, entrepreneurs, and their teams. You will learn advanced strategies in branding, marketing, business model alignment, funding, exit planning, digital marketing, inbound and outbound sales, customer experience, and more from experts and successful local founders themselves.


Web3.0 & AI in Business Track

Delve into the transformative technologies of Web 3.0, including crypto, blockchain, and NFTs, and their implications for businesses, communities, and technology. Additionally, gain valuable insights into the intersection of AI and business, discovering how AI can revolutionize industries through automation and intelligent decision-making. Engage with leading creatives, founders, investors, policy makers, and companies at the forefront of these revolutions, as they share their expertise and perspectives. Leave the track equipped with the knowledge and connections to build, grow and scale  in the evolving landscape of Web 3.0 and AI in business.


Startups For Good Track

Are you an innovator, entrepreneur, or changemaker interested in using startups and technology to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems? This track is for you! Attendees will learn about the emerging trends in impact, get inspired by the work of others, and connect with potential partners and collaborators. Join us for a series of sessions featuring impact entrepreneurs, investors, and experts who share their experiences and tips on building (and funding!) successful businesses that create meaningful change. Content covered in this track is for both nonprofit and for-profit businesses.


Sub-Tracks


Climate & Sustainability Sub-Track

This sub-track offers a deep dive into the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the rapidly evolving field of climate tech. Hear from expert speakers on a range of topics including carbon capture and storage, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and climate modeling. Walk away from these sessions with the knowledge, inspiration, and connections you need to make a difference in the fight against climate change. The track offers attendees the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, connect with startups and investors, and learn from thought leaders who are driving the climate tech revolution. Female Founders and Funders Sub-Track

This track brings together women and women allies who are passionate about promoting and empowering women entrepreneurs and investors. We are seeking inspiring and innovative female founders, investors, and industry leaders who can share their insights, experiences, and strategies for success. This track will discuss topics relevant to female entrepreneurs and investors, like fundraising, mentorship, leadership,financing strategies, networking, pitching, and building successful businesses in today's competitive landscape.This sub track will span between our Early and Growth Stage Tracks. 

Mental Health Sub-Track

Our Mental Health Track is looking for expert speakers who are passionate about promoting mental wellness and exploring the intersection of technology and mental health. We are seeking innovative and inspiring speakers who can share their insights and experiences on the latest developments and opportunities in the mental health space. Our sessions will cover a range of topics, including mental health apps, teletherapy, mindfulness, and more, so there will be plenty of opportunities to share your knowledge and expertise. This sub track will span between our Early and Growth Stage Tracks. 

Technology Sub-Track

This track is for non-technical founders of tech-enabled businesses and their teams. Attendees will learn how to approach product development as an early venture, best practices for leading research and development teams, success stories of non-technical founders, and will have the chance to connect with potential partners and collaborators. Join us for sessions featuring entrepreneurs, software engineers, and experts who share their experiences and tips on building successful tech-enabled businesses. This sub-track will cross between the early stage and growth stage track.

Food and CPG Sub-Track

This track brings together food and hospitality entrepreneurs who are looking to launch their business, grow their brand, or take the next step in building their empire. We are seeking food and hospitality entrepreneurs from all growth stages (cottage food & pop-ups to CPGs to brick & mortar restaurants) who can share their earned insights, tips, and strategies for sustainable growth.  This track will discuss topics including regulation and licensing, financing, and marketing for early and growth stage food entrepreneurs. This sub track spans both Early and Growth Stage Tracks.


Service Based Track

This track is focused on entrepreneurs, consultants, and freelancers who run service-based companies looking for strategies to scale their expertise, build brand awareness, close sales, leverage smart marketing, leverage automation, create sales funnels, and more. Join industry experts for interactive sessions covering topics such as service design, customer experience, pricing strategies, and service delivery. Attendees can network with like-minded individuals, connect with potential customers and partners, and learn about the latest tools and technologies.
