Hi everyone,

We are so excited to announce that registration is officially open for DC Startup Week 2019. Whether you’re a veteran in the start-up world, you just launched a company yesterday work at a startup, invest in startups, or you have been dreaming of launching a business in the future, we want you to attend!

DC Startup Week brings together hundreds of thought leaders in various industries for a week full of exciting, engaging and educational workshops to launch, sustain, and grow you and your business. We welcome people from all stages in their entrepreneurial journey. You have the opportunity to network and gain knowledge by attending thought-provoking, informative and entertaining panels, pitch competitions, hackathons, exhibitions and discussions put on by more than 50 collaborating organizations including The Mayor’s Office, coworking places, startups, corporations, nonprofits and educational institutions.

This year’s startup week includes sponsorships from NEXT, powered by Shulman Rogers, along with Booz Allen Hamilton, GSP, Drift, Boldr and the Flatiron School. *will link to the others*

Some notable speakers slated to present include Adam Mutchsler, host of The Founder’s Mind podcast, Amelia Friedman, cofounder of Hatch Apps and Melissa Bradley, managing partner at 1863 Ventures. There will be various pitch events happening, including a pitch event for teen entrepreneurs and a women-led business pitch competition hosted by HERImpact.

Our goal is to engage, connect and inspire over 7,000 attendees this year. Last year’s event series drew 5,000 attendees to 120 events. This year we’re going bigger and bolder, with a wide range of informative and inspiring panels, pitch competitions, hackathons, networking events and more. We’re proud to put on a weeklong showcase of the best that this region has to offer, connect local entrepreneurs with new opportunities, and inspire the next generation of founders in and around this city.

To celebrate the opening of registrations, we are hosting our Registration Happy Hour at Franklin Hall located at 1348 Florida Avenue to provide attendees, sponsors and speakers the opportunity to network and celebrate the start of DCSW 2019! This is a free event happening tonight, July 25th, from 5:30pm-8pm — you can find more details and register to attend here.

We hope you can attend some of these events leading up to DCSW. If not, we will see you September 9th – September 13th!
